SEO And Your Business

SEO Tips, Resources, and Services For Succeeding In A Digital Economy.

If the Internet was a vast beach, every new business would merely be a single grain of sand.

Although your business may be the best grain of sand on the entire beach, it still would be almost impossible to find without doing something to attract eyeballs in its direction.

Doing business on the Internet has been marketed by many as the goose that laid the golden egg, for businesses large and small. By contrast the actual success rate is only around 7% for all new Internet based businesses.

Why so low? Well one of the biggest problems that new businesses or at least businesses that are new to this media called the Internet face is information overload.

Everywhere you turn you’re being bombarded with how to get unlimited traffic info products, teleseminars, and the latest success in a virtual box product.

Because the profit potential really is unlimited marketing online, many businesses desperately invest in all the wrong things trying to tap into this virtual gold mind.

The truth of the matter is this, no matter how great or original or low priced your product or service is, if you can’t get it in front of the people who are looking to pay for it, your business will underachieve. (I was going to say fail but I didn’t want to bum you out.)

Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization or (SEO) for short, are two of the most profitable places for any serious web site owner to invest time and money in.

Why? Because no matter what product or service your business is selling if buyers don’t find you first when they’re ready to buy, your soon to out of business!

For most home based business money is tight and so is time. There is so much to learn and to do everyday that “Search” gets put on the back burner.

In reality compared to all the other Internet how to make money stuff that you get bombarded with everyday, useable non-geek SEO information is really not that visible.

There are three reasons for this.

1). SEO is not a subject that is easy for people to write eBooks about, because of it’s technical nature.

2). The people that are really good at it aren’t teaching other people how to be successful by using the latest SEO techniques, they’re quietly making fortunes with their highly optimized Viagra and Casino web sites.

They really don’t need to waste their time trying to get you and I to buy some $24.95 how to get rich with SEO ebook!

3). To have a professional SEO firm optimize your web site is simply cost prohibited for 99.9% of new small businesses.

All that being said it is important to understand the role that Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing plays in the success of any Internet based business, regardless of the size of the business entity.

Keeping up with the rules and the search engine algorithms is beyond the scope of 99% of online businesses.

The rules and the algorithms change fast and often, and the depth of research that is required to get and stay on the first page of  and  for competitive search terms is simply time prohibitive for most small business owners to do, even if they wanted to!

I have spent many, many hours observing and implementing various SEO strategies and have found a few tools that anyone can use to help make SEO much faster and easier than most people would have you beleive.

As time permits I will dicuss some of the best Non-Geek SEO tools and tips that you can use to bet the pants off your uninformed compitition!
